Iain MacLeod, mandolinist and composer, is best known for his work with Scottish ‘acid croft’ pioneers Shooglenifty. A winner of the Clasp at the Northern Meeting in 1989 and 1990, his work reuniting piping with its Gaelic roots is influencing a whole generation of musicians and many of his compositions have become part of the modern piping repertoire.

Mike Katz is a native of Los Angeles and has been the talismanic piper with the Battlefield Band for more than twenty years, with whom he recorded many albums and toured worldwide. He has played with various pipe bands including Bagad Kemper. As well as piping he is an accomplished guitarist and bouzouki player.
