Toronto Police Pipe Band Gr 3

The Toronto Police Pipe Band (Grade 3) is under the musical leadership of Pipe Major Scott Harrison and Lead Drummer John Gaudet. They last attended the World Pipe Band Championships in 2016 where they played in the 3B final. They capped off a successful 2017 competition season by winning the PPBSO’s Champion Supreme title for grade 3.

The band was first formed in 1912, under the leadership of Pipe Major Thomas Ross, son of Scottish immigrants and a police constable in the City of Toronto.  The band still wears the Red Ross Tartan in his honour.  The Grade 3 Pipe band appears at Piping Live and the World Championships with the kind permission of the City’s Chief of Police, Mark Saunders.
