Gordon Duncan Memorial Piping Competition

Gordon Duncan, from Pitlochry in Perthshire, was widely regarded as one of the most skilled and innovative traditional music performers and composers of modern times. The Gordon Duncan Memorial Trust was formed to raise funds for the promotion of piping and other forms of traditional music amongst young people in Scotland.

The pipers will hail from Scotland, Brittany and Ireland battling it out over 3 sets of Scottish, Irish and Breton tunes, to be crowned the champion piper 2017.

This year’s pipers are: Connor Sinclair (Scotland), Scott Wallace (Northern Ireland) and Sylvain Hamon (Brittany).

Don’t miss a tremendous day of piping featuring beautiful music in three very different styles of piping – the epitome of the Piping Live! ethos.
