Piping Live! showcases some of the best up and coming young talent in piping and traditional music. Many are part of, or have completed the BMus Traditional Music degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Today's performer is the talented performer and pipe maker Malin Makes Music. Malin makes Music is the stage name of composer, bagpipe and fiddle player Malin Lewis. They are joined by acclaimed musicians Luc McNally (Bouzouki) and Sally Simpson (Fiddle). The music is inspired by everything they are exposed to in life. Most recently Malin has been studying folk music in Helsinki and learning the tradition of the extinct Finnish Bagpipes. This concert will be the debut of an exciting new direction for Malin makes Music. They will play a mixture of original compositions and traditional tunes from all across Europe.
