Learn@Live!, Piping Live!'s educational strand of events returns online for 2021! This fantastic series of events sees workshops across 4 days of the festival covering a huge range of topics.
This workshop will look at the life and compositions of Cpt John A. MacLellan, one of the most important pipers of the 20th Century. It is an opportunity to learn about the history of the great John MacLellan through the eyes and ears of his son Colin, 100 years after his birth. The talk will be illustrated with original piobaireachd and light music recordings, some never heard before, photographs, discussion of the compositions, and live playing examples by Colin's wife Jenny Hazzard.
Buy your Learn at Live! Tuesday Ticket using the Online or Inperson buttons on the right of the screen. This gives you access to both Tuesday workshops - for £17.50. You do not need to purchase twice, as the ticket is valid over both events.
Tickets for Learn@Live! are not included in the Festival Pass.
All online events are available to rewatch for 7 days after broadcast.
