Governor Macquarie Memorial Pipe band
Formed in 1977, the band will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year, marking five decades of dedication, achievement, and performance. Based in Sydney, Australia, the organisation includes a Grade 4B and a Grade 3B band and has built a strong reputation through competition, recording, and performances both nationally and internationally.
The band has won the Grade 4A Australian and South Pacific Pipe Band Championships and has competed in Scotland in 2010, 2012, 2017, and 2026. It has also competed in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. In addition to its competitive success, the band has released two pipe band fundraising CDs and performs at many high-profile engagements and events. One notable performance was with Sir Paul McCartney.
