The Piping Live! Team want to make sure you have a safe experience at the festival. Here you will find information about what we are doing to keep you safe.
Sustainability and Piping Live!
Piping Live! is committed to providing excellent standards of service across its event period, including programming, promotion and delivery. The festival is committed to its responsibilities to reduce our carbon emissions and bring awareness and change to our community in line with Glasgow City Council commitment to achieve Carbon Neutrality by 2030. Our aim is to work in a manner which is sustainable and to minimise the environmental impact of our operations. As part of The National Piping Centre’s work, we are at the centre of the worldwide piping community which will allow the festival to influence and communicate information in areas such as carbon emissions reduction and reducing, reusing and recycling of resources.
Piping Live!'s Sustainability Commitment
Statement on Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment
The Piping Live! Festival believes everyone should feel safe during the festival. We will help maintain this by not tolerating harmful behaviours, which may include non-consensual touching or verbal harassment. If a participant chooses to break these policies, they may be removed from the event. If someone or something makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, no matter how minor it may seem, please do not stay silent. You can report it to any Piping Live! Festival member of staff, or volunteer. They will follow your lead, and work with you to try to make sure it does not happen again and that you continue to feel safe at our festival.
