Richard Parkes MBE is a renowned pipe band director and musician from Northern Ireland, widely regarded as one of the most successful figures in competitive pipe band history. He has served as the longtime leader of the Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band, guiding them to multiple World Pipe Band Championship titles, cementing their status as one of the world’s elite pipe bands.

Under Parkes’ direction, Field Marshal Montgomery has won the World Championships more than a dozen times, including a remarkable streak of consecutive victories.
