Formed at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, KICK is an exciting new Glasgow-based trad band delivering a driving, high-energy blend of Scottish and Irish music.

KICK are a Glasgow-based trad band formed by musicians studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. United by a shared love of the session scene and the thrill of live performance, they deliver a driving blend of Scottish and Irish traditional music — deeply rooted in tradition yet bursting with energy and character.

The band features fiddlers Ciaran Crumlish and Kathleen Macdonald, concertina player Kisna Panesar, and guitarist Isaac Baptist. Though only recently formed, KICK have already been delighting audiences at ceilidhs and made a standout appearance at the Celtic Connections — a milestone that reflects the growing excitement around them. With infectious energy, clear ambition, and a genuine passion for the music, KICK are fast becoming a name to watch on the trad scene.

The programming on Centre Stage and in the Bothy are included in your Festival Site day or week ticket.
