Join us for a day full of exciting activities for children and families from sports and cycling to art, dance, food and music from around the commonwealth countries. 

You can try Commonwealth inspired sports games, with lots of running, throwing and teamwork. The games are easy to join in with and are all about having fun together. 

If you like bikes, there will be family cycling sessions, where you can borrow a bike and helmet and ride safely with helpers and if you enjoy being creative, you can join arts and craft workshops and make colourful flags, badges and artwork inspired by different countries. 

Everyone will help create a big community artwork to show how special and diverse our community is. There will also be dance and movement sessions with music from around the world, where you can move, stretch and dance in ways that feel good for you. 

Throughout the day you can listen to music, taste food from different cultures and share stories about where you and your family come from. Come along to play, explore and celebrate - everyone is welcome! Piping Live! is delighted to be working with Parkhead Youth PRoject as part of the Glasgow 2026 Festival to present come and try the pipes during the afternoon.
