Over the last couple of years, the programme has expanded to six different communities, giving more young people the opportunity to learn and develop their piping skills on the chanter and bagpipes. As well as developing musical skills, the clubs give young people a chance to meet others, build confidence and enjoy making music together.
Throughout the Summer Holidays, the clubs have taken a short break, but our young pipers have continued practicing hard, working on a range of music from club repertoire and school pieces to some of their personal favourites. The Community Piping Club Showcase is a chance for them to share some of what they have been working on over the summer, showcasing the hardwork and dedication they have put in over the break. Come along and enjoy a morning of traditional music from the next generation of pipers!
This event will be on The Bothy stage within the Festival Site. The programming in the Bothy and on Centre Stage are included in your Festival Site day or week ticket.
