The Street Café returns for 2024 with a line up of great events including Pipe Idol heats, international artists and Emerging Talent, as well as talks, great music, launches, piobaireachd conversations and more. Make plans to meet friends, eat, drink and enjoy our free programming!

As we gear up for the World Pipe Band Championships we have another great day of programming: 

10.15am - Pibroch Network Conversations: Singing. Melting barriers to connection with the soul and pibroch’s lineage. You can find out more about this discussion here.

12noon - Pipe Idol ; Heat 4 - the last heat before the Grand Final later today! 

1.30pm - Finlay MacDonald launches his new Tune Collection with a little help from some of his musician friends! 

3.30pm - Lauren Collier Band

4.45pm - Emerging Talent ; Dana 

6.00pm - TBC

The Venue

In our marquee outside The National Piping Centre, it is a hub of activity with talks, bar, restaurant and live music every day.

Accessibility

During Piping Live! access is through the ramped entrance to the Street Cafe. This is to the left, down the ramp from the main marquee entrance.
If you cross the stage marquee, there is also an accessible toilet out the door on the far side of the marquee, next to the building.
