This new, extraordinary, and highly-collaborative collection was compiled by Vermont piper Tim Cummings, and shares a connection to the Raasay Piping Competition vis-à-vis Hamish Moore, the founder of both Càirdeas and The Raasay—the link being enforced in that the two events share a common cultural philosophy.  Cummings, who is the current Musical Director at Càirdeas, will be joined by Moore and several other colleagues who've taught at this remarkable school since its inception in 1989.  Prior to the concert, we'll highlight some of the more unique and notable aspects of the new collection.  An all-comers session will follow, and will feature—but not be limited to—the offerings in the new tunebook.  Come and bring your session-friendly instruments, and join us!

This event will be on The Bothy stage within the Festival Site. The programming in the Bothy and on Centre Stage are included in your Festival Site day or week ticket.
