And so we reach the final day of Piping Live! for another year. We've had a brilliant week and we are finishing strong with a fantastic line up at Street Cafe and at Kelvingrove Art Gallery. We then round everything off with a very special gig at St Luke's. 

Yesterday was a day of celebration for Bobby Allen, who won Pipe Idol against some amazing competition, and Angus MacColl, who took the honours at the Pipe Major Alasdair Gillies Recital Challenge at the Royal Concert Hall last night. This was the culmination of a brilliant set of pipe and drum competitions across the week. Congratulations to everyone who competed.

Today in the Street Cafe we have CAN Dubh leading us off at noon, with the Magnus Turpie Combo playing at 1.30. We finish off with Finlay MacDonald leading The Big Street Cafe Session. Entry to the Street Cafe is free.

Over at Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, Ross Ainslie will be making a special appearance to round off the Gig in the Gallery series. Get there early as rumour has it that Ross might be playing with a unique and very special accompanist.
