G1 International Quartet Competition - Bands Announced!

The G1 Reeds International Quartet Competition returns for 2026 to showcase the best in international Pipe Bands, just days before they take to Glasgow Green for the World Pipe Band Championships and we are delighted to announce who will be taking part this year!

Back at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall's Strathclyde Suite for 2026, six of the worlds top pipe bands will send four of their pipers to compete in this head to head challenge, as 5 hidden judges decide who will take home the title in this must see event leading up to the Worlds on Saturday!

This year's performing pipe bands are:

Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band (2025 Champions)
Inveraray and District Pipe Band
People's Ford Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band
Police Scotland Fife Pipe Band
Simon Fraser University Pipe Band
ScottishPower Pipe Band

Tickets for this event are available from the Piping Live! Ticket Platform or from Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. A £1.50 restoration fee for the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall is part of the booking fee on both ticket buying sites.
