Piping Live are delighted to present an exciting new commission celebrating incredible professional female piping talent. Curated by the exceptional piper and Gaelic speaker, Brìghde Chaimbeul, the show will also feature world class performers Louise Mulcahy on uilleann pipes whose groundbreaking research on women in uilleann piping has received worldwide critical acclaim, Isle of Man fiddler Isla Callister, Gaelic singer Kirsty-Ann McInnes and Highland multi-instrumentalist Ingrid Henderson. Featuring Gaelic, Gaeilge and Manx languages in a never seen before line-up of exceptional musicians - this is a performance not to be missed! This show is in partnership with Eden Court’s Under Canvas festival and funded by Maoin nan Ealan Gàidhlig.

Ceòlas has grown from a week-long summer school into a full-time Gaelic organisation, dedicated to celebrating and sharing our language, music, dance, and culture. Under Canvas is proud to be part of Ceòlas’ 30th anniversary celebrations. Representing Ceòlas with a fantastic line-up of musicians and dancers are:

Event Information:

For access to this event, you will need to come to the Piping Live! Festival Site entrance. Entry will be open strictly at 7.00pm, if you do not have a Tuesday day festival ticket (or week pass) you will not be able to enter before 7.00pm.  

The Venue

The centre serves as a national and international centre of excellence for the great Highland Bagpipe and its music.

The Festival Site with the Centre Stage and Bothy Tent, as our food and drink tents will be on outside here on McPhater Street.

PLEASE BE AWARE

• You will need a Festival Site Day ticket (or Week Pass) to access the events from the 11th -15th of August e.g. you will need a Tuesday Festival Site ticket (or week pass) to access the Tuesday Lunchtime Recital and Learn@Live events. Please only purchase indoor events for the days you have a site ticket or pass for. 
• You DO NOT need a festival site pass for events on the 8th, 9th and 10th of August (eg. MacGregors Gathering events) 
• If you arrive at the Festival Site without a valid day/week entry ticket you will be required to buy one at the door.
