Ali Levack is highly regarded as one of the best whistle players around and has created his own impressive, high octane playing style. He was BBC Radio Scotland’s Young Traditional Musician of the Year for 2020 with both whistle and pipes featuring in his performance and has gone on to perform across the globe as part of Project SMOK and Glin.
Falasgair is a Scottish traditional folk band that emerged from Glasgow and the Isle of Skye. They gained recognition for their blend of traditional, contemporary, and self-penned tunes. The bands name is derived from the Gaelic word for burning heather, a seasonal practice. Their sound is characterized by fiddle, whistle, bagpipes, keyboard, guitar, bouzouki, and bodhrán.
