This dynamic Bagpipe & Saxophone duo are the product of a larger ensemble, The Nexus Project. Bede Patterson (highland bagpipes) and Dean Garrity (soprano saxophone) explore a mixture of contemporary and ancient repertoire through a variety of original compositions and arrangements by Bede Patterson. Patterson and Garrity explore a genuine intersection of jazz, classical, and traditional folk music styles, from ancient piobaireachd to free-form improvisations. This collaborative work features exciting new sounds within the realm of Glasgow's thriving fusion music scene. Join this fantastic duo as they open the Gig in the Gallery series.
