Piping Live! is delighted to be returning to Kelvingrove to present a series of concerts by some of our international performers.
Morvan Massif is a dynamic five-piece collective formed in response to an invitation from the William Kennedy Piping Festival in Northern Ireland. The group features a diverse lineup of talented musicians: three French, one Irish, and one Scottish, blending their rich cultural backgrounds into a unique musical experience.
Performing in flexible configurations ranging from duos to full quintets, Morvan Massif brings traditional roots music from the Morvan region of France to life. Their repertoire honors ancient melodies that have gracefully evolved through time, alongside vibrant Scottish and Cape Breton tunes. Piping live will see the trio made up of:
Seb Lagrange: Accordion
Gaël Rutkowski: Center France Bagpipes and Irish Bagpipe
Ross Martin: Guitar
The band’s sound is deeply rooted in tradition yet fresh with original compositions, primarily by accordionist Seb Lagrange, making Morvan Massif a captivating blend of heritage and innovation
