The Lunchtime recital series returns for 2025. Join us on Wednesday 13th August for a performance by Sarah Muir.

Tickets: £10 Std / £9 Over 65s + Under 16s + £1.50 booking fee per ticket

This event must be bought in conjunction with a festival site ticket. Once you have purchased your site ticket, a £2.50 discount will be applied to the price of the event ticket.

Sarah is from Campbeltown, Argyll and currently lives in East Kilbride. 

                

She began piping at the age of 10 under the instruction of Ian McKerral, and later received tuition from Jim Henderson, Stuart Samson, Glenn Brown and currently (for 10+ years), Willie McCallum. Sarah graduated in 2013 with a BA (Hons) in Scottish Music - Piping and is currently employed by Fife Council as an Instrumental Bagpipe Instructor. Sarah has also been a member of the Kintyre Schools Pipe Band, Inveraray and District Pipe Band and the 2015 World Pipe Band Champions, Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia Pipe Band.  

Some of her solo wins include : the MSR event at the Uist & Barra Invitational Competition (2020), the A grade Marches at the Argyllshire Gathering (2019) and the Dunvegan Medal at the Skye Highland Gathering (2019).

The centre serves as a national and international centre of excellence for the great Highland Bagpipe and its music.

The Festival Site with the Centre Stage and Bothy Tent, as our food and drink tents will be on outside here on McPhater Street.


PLEASE BE AWARE

  • You will need a Festival Site Day ticket (or Week Pass) to access the events from the 11th -15th of August e.g. you will need a Tuesday Festival Site ticket (or week pass) to access the Tuesday Lunchtime Recital and Learn@Live events. Please only purchase indoor events for the days you have a site ticket or pass for. 
  • If you arrive at the Festival Site without a valid day/week entry ticket you will be required to buy one at the door.
