The National Piping Centre

Sarah is from Campbeltown, Argyll and currently lives in East Kilbride. She began piping at the age of 10 under the instruction of Ian McKerral, and later received tuition from Jim Henderson, Stuart Samson, Glenn Brown and currently (for 10+ years), Willie McCallum. Sarah graduated in 2013 with a BA (Hons) in Scottish Music - Piping and is currently employed by Fife Council as an Instrumental Bagpipe Instructor. Sarah has also been a member of the Kintyre Schools Pipe Band, Inveraray and District Pipe Band and the 2015 World Pipe Band Champions, Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia Pipe Band.
Some of her solo wins include : the MSR event at the Uist & Barra Invitational Competition (2020), the A grade Marches at the Argyllshire Gathering (2019) and the Dunvegan Medal at the Skye Highland Gathering (2019).
We look forward to welcoming Sarah for her first recital at Piping Live!.

The centre serves as a national and international centre of excellence for the great Highland Bagpipe and its music.
The Festival Site with the Centre Stage and Bothy Tent, as well as our food and drink tents will be on outside here on McPhater Street.

Accessibility
The National Piping Centre and Pipers' Tryst restaurant has step access at both doors.
There is a lift available from the side of the building to all floors.
During Piping Live! access is through the ramped entracne to the Street Cafe, cross the marquee and then out the other door to the lift area. There is also an accessible toilet here.
