Pipe Idol is back for 2023! Competitors will perform a set including a hornpipe and jig, a March, Strathspey and Reel and a medley of tunes between 5 – 7 minutes long, this will showcase the best young pipers in the world. With 4 competitors each day, one winner will be selected to go through the the grand final which takes place on Thursday 17th August.

The Venue

In our marquee outside The National Piping Centre, it is a hub of activity with talks, bar, restaurant and live music every day.

Accessibility

During Piping Live! access is through the ramped entrance to the Street Cafe. This is to the left, down the ramp from the main marquee entrance.
If you cross the stage marquee, there is also an accessible toilet out the door on the far side of the marquee, next to the building.
