There are two parts to this exciting day of workshops, with individual sessions in the morning and group sessions in the afternoon, which will focus on creating music for the Saturday evening concert, with a musical focus on how Highland fiddle music has been influenced by the pipes.

During the day we will create a couple of pieces that will be performed on the Saturday evening, when Bruce will be joined by some of the key MacGregor’s Gathering musicians to create a ceilidh like no other.

The teachers for this extraordinary day of workshops are:

  • Highland fiddle with Bruce MacGregor (intermediate to advanced)
  • Piano with Cailean Mckerron (intermediate to advanced) - accompanying tunes with flair.
  • Guitar with Ali Duncan (intermediate to advanced) - rhythm and drive for trad tunes

When booking tickets, please select which instrument workshop you would like to attend.

You do not need an Festival Site Ticket to gain access to this event, just book your place and instrument!
