This year our flagship pipe band performances will take place at two stops on Sauchiehall Street. 

These 2 stops on Sauchiehall Street will last around 25mins each, with pipe bands putting their best foot forward ahead of the World Pipe Band Championships on Friday and Saturday!

The start times indicate when each band will arrive at the first Sauchiehall Street performance area at 197 Sauchiehall Street. They will then move to the Donald Dewar Statue at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall Steps at 2 Sauchiehall Street. 

Today's Pipe Bands are: 

12.30pm    Governor MacQuarrie Memorial Pipe Band, Australia
2.00pm    Gordon's School Pipe Band, England
3.30pm    Rose and Thistle Ladies Pipe Band

These band performances can change at short notice due to the weather. Any updates will be posted on our news page here as soon as we know, so please check here nearer the time. 

This event is FREE to attend. No ticket required to watch this event.  

The Venue

Artists play in a pedestrianised area of the city centre. There are two performances spaces along Sauchiehall Street. 

The first stop will be at the top of Sauchiehall Street's pedestrianised zone - around 197 Sauchiehall Street. 

They will then move to the second stop. This will be at the Donald Dewar Statue at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall Steps - 2 Sauchiehall Street. 

Bands will perform at each stop for around 25minutes. 

All of our Sauchiehall Street events are free and don't require a ticket. 

Sauchiehall Street is largely step free and pedestrianised with dropped kerbs at road crossings.
